Emma graduated with a Distinction from the TV Scriptwriting MA at De Montfort University. Her final script was awarded the Media Film and Journalism Prize for Best Project and picked up for development by Red Productions. She was mentored on another project by Jed Mercurio which led to her being commissioned to write an episode for series 2 of 'Critical' on Sky 1. She's since had projects in development with a number of TV companies including BBC, ITV and Mainstreet.
Emma has also written and directed a number of multi award-winning short films, with her scripts attracting actors such as Shane Attwooll, Helen Lederer and Sheila Reid. As well as being showcased at over 100 film festivals worldwide, her films have also been screened on London Live TV in their own broadcast slots.
She's also had a number of short plays staged as well as a one act play, Invisible String, in an Off West End theatre.
Emma currently has a TV project optioned to Seven Seas Films and a number of others in development. She’s also been commissioned to write a one-woman play for the actress Linda Marlowe, which is due to be staged in 2025 at the Edinburgh Festival and in London’s West End.
Emma has also worked for the NHS for the past 20 years and brings the wealth of knowledge and experience she’s gained from that world into the stories she creates..
