Madeleine is an award-winning writer from Yorkshire. She trained in Drama Writing at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and is the Artistic Director and Writer for Black Bright Theatre Company. Her work has been staged in the UK (Bristol Old Vic, The Crucible Playhouse, Liverpool Everyman, Mountview, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival) and internationally at the Chengdu-Chongqing International Theatre festival.
Madeleine primarily writes dark, regional, female-led stories charged with gender and environmentalist politics. Her work straddles folk-horror, magical realism and dark comedy.
She is currently developing a feminist comedy-horror for TV with Hell Fire! Productions.
