Sara Khan was, for ten years, the director of Inspire, a women’s human rights organisation which seeks to address the inequalities facing British Muslim women. She now serves as Lead Commissioner for the newly created Commission on Countering Extremism.

Sara’s book The Battle for British Islam, written with author Tony McMahon, was published on 5 September 2016 by Saqi Books.

Sara wrote the Observer Comment piece on Sunday 5 October 2014.
