With a luminous and colossal track record, The Hollies have released some of the best-loved pop songs of all time: The Air That I Breathe, Long Cool Woman (In A Black Dress) – a number 1 in the US – Bus Stop, I’m Alive, Carrie Anne, and of course the soul-stirring He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother ... the list goes on.

Bobby, drummer with The Hollies since 1963 and an excellent storyteller and public speaker, has at last written his own story – a fascinating insight into the lifestyle of a hard-working musician, with six decades (and counting) in a band of legendary status.

The Hollies still sell out tours in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, year after year, and Bobby is aware this is a useful platform for any publisher.

Rightly celebrated as “one of the very finest drummers in all of pop/rock”, Bobby Elliott now tells his personal story. It Ain’t Heavy, It’s My Story was published by Omnibus Press on 2 April 2020.
